Pixquid - a portmanteau of “pictures” and “squid” - is an independent streaming platform, exclusively showcasing high production-value work by emerging talent in film, art and music with both subscription and pay-per-view capability. We started the platform development in 2019 and we finally launched of-fish-ially on the World’s Ocean day of 2022.

The people behind Pixquid are also filmmakers who share the same passion and challenges with most independent content creators so we created the platform in hopes to help our independent film community thrive, grow, and succeed together. In the ocean of content today, there’s plenty of amazing films, series, art and music to be discovered by audience in search for something new and unique so we, the ‘Pixquad”, are squidding around, fishing them with our wiggly tentacles and put them all in one place.
We’re glad you ask! Anyone who subscribes to Pixquid, or anyone who works at Pixquid and the filmmakers showcasing their work on the platform, are all considered part of the “Pixquad”.

For filmmakers, as soon as your work goes on the platform, you automatically become part of the “Pixquad.”
For subscribers, you can become a Pixquad member by upgrading to the “Octopus” annual subscription.

As a Pixquad member, you can earn $5 for each referral in addition to your loyalty cash incentive or your PPV revenue share - and you can refer as many filmmakers as you’d like, no limits.
The referred filmmakers/creator must have their work approved by Pixquid, complete the full on-boarding process including submitting all requested materials, and stay on the platform for a full year.
You can refer subscribers too! You can earn $5 for each subscriber referral - again, refer as many as you’d like, no limits. The referred subscriber must register and upgrade to the Octopus annual subscription within 24 hours after registration and stay on the platform for at least 90 days. The referred subscriber will also receive $5 off their Octopus annual subscription purchase - Give $5, Get $5 for each subscriber referral!

Yes! We open for submissions 4 times a year: Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. The next deadline for Fall 2022 submissions is September 15, 2022.
The “catch of the day”? it’s red snapper - just playin’ ! There’s no catch, really. We believe in equal access to opportunities and when enough people come together as a community to make a positive change or create something amazing, the world has a better chance to become a much better place.
