Elle Schneider

Elle Schneider graduated from USC's Screenwriting and Interactive Media programs, after being born and raised in New York City. She is a two-time recipient of the Marguerite Roberts scholarship for genre screenwriting. Elle was a fellow of Big Vision Empty Wallet's 2015 Distribution Lab with her feature screenplay IN SEARCH OF THE SUN, about WWII diplomat Chiune Sugihara.

As a cinematographer, Elle has shot feature documentaries I AM DIVINE and THAT GUY DICK MILLER, both of which premiered at the SXSW Film Festival, and the upcoming romantic drama SIX LOVE STORIES, in addition to numerous short documentaries and featurettes for clients like Shout Factory, Drafthouse Films, Blue Underground, and more. In 2012 she co-designed the Digital Bolex cinema camera.

Elle has directed music videos (including Speedy Ortiz's My Dead Girl, which premiered in Vanity Fair and was covered in Maxim, Complex, and other major outlets,) and numerous shorts and commercials (including action comedy HEADSHOTS starring Ray Wise, James Duval, and Jimmy Wong.) She has been a juror for Slamdance and the Women In Film finishing fund.
