Frances Wilkerson

Frances is a director, producer, writer, editor, cinematographer and vfx artist based in Chicago. Her award winning films 'Red', 'Rosa' and 'Hair' have screened at film festivals nationwide including the Orlando Film Festival, the Chicago Southland Int'l Film Festival, the Miami Short Film Festival, and the Yonkers Film Festival. 

Her screenplays have been honored by the California Women's Film Festival, the Women's Independent Film Festival, the Austin Film Festival and the Harlem International Film Festival. She was also honored by the New York Cinematography Awards for her work cinematography work in 'Rosa'.

She loves to film stories that put humanity on display. Her goal with each film is to help the viewer see themselves in the soul of another, and to help them see that we are so much more alike than we are different. Her hope is that by opening even a small crack in the viewer's perspective, the world can change for the better. IMDB
