Kz Elizabeth

Kz Elizabeth (she/her) is a queer filmmaker, director, writer, and performer from Chicago.

After training in improv at The Second City, she co-starred in the GLAAD nominated episode of Netflix’s improvised show Easy, while her directorial debut film, a satirical short about the injustice behind breast health, was featured on The Huffington Post, Upworthy, and Women You Should Know. In 2018, her short film, Ponytail, won Audience’s Choice, Best Made in Chicago, and Best Female Filmmaker awards at national and international film festivals, and now distributed by Pixquid. Her 2020 film, Pathetic Woman — a surreal love story written by non-binary creative, E.R. Fightmaster, of ABC's Grey's Anatomy and Hulu’s Shrill, co-written by comedian Katy Fullan of FX's Chowder — was showcased in festivals internationally and nationally, LGBTQ+ festivals, and reviewed as “Arts/Culture to Follow” by Autostraddle.

She most recently worked on Peacock’s Paul T. Goldman, the SXSW 2020 Official Selection short film “Basic” featured on Amazon Prime, ABC’s Bless This Mess, and Apple TV’s The Problem with Jon Stewart. Her and her cat are based in Los Angeles.
